Thank you for visiting iBeatCancer.info, a place where Cancer Survivors write about their journeys and tell their stories. We discuss where we've been, what we've learned, what we have to do and what we want others to know and understand.

On The Road to SURVIVAL

My name is Elaine Landau and my story starts December 1, 2003 when I was told I had
breast cancer. Over the years I had had a couple of biopsies however they all came back negative.

So when I was told December 1, 2003 that I had breast cancer I was devastated.

I immediately went to my surgeon and was scheduled for a lumpectomy the following week.

Carlos & the benefits of Juicing

My name is Carlos Castellazo; I'm an
insurance broker and I was diagnosed with a terminal case of cancer over 13
years ago. I met with different doctors and they all agreed that my leukemia
meant I had less than 4 months to live.

The oddest event can change your life forever

The oddest event can change your life forever. That is exactly what happened to me back in May 2006. One night while my wife Kristy and I were sleeping, our daughter Caroline tried to get into bed with us. Though she did this nightly, this night stood out from all the rest: she accidentally kicked me in my groin. It was not an abnormal pain, just a pain. It took my breath away for a second, but I recovered to go back to sleep. All next week I found myself having an uncomfortable feeling in my groin. It felt like I had a weight on my groin.

My Story

My Name is Merv Kopp. I’m a cancer survivor. My story is about Attitude: accepting and understanding the problem, finding the best solution(s) to the problem, and taking care of the problem and always moving forward. I want to let people know that it's okay to have cancer and feel good about yourself the whole time, both before, during and after treatment.
